Middleweights collide in the co-main event of UFC Abu Dhabi.
Rising prospect Shara Magomedov puts his undefeated record on the line against UFC veteran Michał Oleksiejczuk. We last saw Magomedov in June, where he picked up a TKO win over Antonio Broccoli. He’ll look to improve to 3-0 in the UFC and 14-0 as a professional when he meets Poland’s Oleksiejczuk.
His opponent Oleksiejczuk is coming off back-to-back losses to Michel Pereira and most recently Kevin Holland at UFC 302.
This middleweight matchup takes place from the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Round 1:
Magomedov lands a leg kick while Oleksiejczuk targets the body. Side kicks land for Magomedov with Oleksiejczuk returning with a left hand. Body shot gets through for Oleksiejczuk. Oleksiejczuk eats a leg kick from Magomedov. Oleksiejczuk lands a jab with Magomedov firing knees from inside the clinch momentarily.
Magomedov tags Oleksiejczuk with a sidekick to the body and then another. Oleksiejczuk clinches with Magomedov against the cage but they break. Oleksiejczuk throws a left hand that connects. Magomedov partially lands a sidekick to the face.
Round 2:
Magomedov fires a leg kick at Oleksiejczuk. Oleksiejczuk loads up on his punches and just misses, clinching with Magomedov. They separate with Oleksiejczuk eating a left and right hand from Magomedov. Magomedov bloodies Oleksiejczuk with his strikes. Sidekick to the body from Magomedov. Magomedov clips Oleksiejczuk with knees from the clinch. Headkick attempt from Magomedov with Oleksiejczuk closing the distance with a takedown attempt. Oleksiejczuk seizes Magomedov’s back to end the round.
Round 3:
Oleksiejczuk applies pressure to start the round, throwing a few punchess with Magomedov returning with a variety of kicks. Right hand lands for Magomedov. Oleksiejczuk works his boxing as Magomedov continues to mix his kicks, landing a clean one to the face of Oleksiejczuk. Oleksiejczuk swings big but misses. Oleksiejczuk eats a huge headkick from Magomedov. Oleksiejczuk attempts a takedown right away with Magomedov defending well. Oleksiejczuk secures a single-leg takedown on Magomedov. Magomedov fires elbows from the bottom position with a few shots coming over the top for the Polish fighter.
