UFC is hosting their first event in China along with a season of TUF by the end of this year

I spent my morning re-watching UFC 109 under the impression that it was UFC 118. Imagine my surprise when Randy Couture stepped toe-to-toe against Mark Coleman instead of James ‘Lights Out’ Toney. Those dudes look nothing alike. My reality was deceived by media, sort of like how the entire MMA world was deceived into believing James Toney actually had a chance against Randy Couture. It’s clear that everyone was highly under the influence of bath salts before we even knew bath salts existed. We should have saw Randy Couture’s domination over James Toney coming. Ultimately, it’s our fault for not recognizing that when a guy refers to a strike as a ‘side check kick,’ he probably never watched a single MMA event in his life.

The rest of my morning consisted of using a pirated copy of Rosetta Stone to learn Mandarin Chinese. Just kidding, that would be far too responsible of me to do this early on a Friday. The fact still remains that I probably know more Chinese than you. If you want to know what the color of a horse or whether or not a little boy is running in Mandarin, I’m your guy. However, if you want to successfully run an MMA promotion and have a reality show in China, leave that to the UFC.

Earlier this week on MMAWeekly, Dana White stated that the UFC is definitely going to hold an event in China this year and is even doing a season of The Ultimate Fighter in the world’s most adored communist country.

We are going to China this year, that’s already happening.

“We’re doing an Ultimate Fighter there too; that’s all gonna happen.

If you’re a member of the media and plan to make the trip to the Far East to attend UFC’s first event in China, good luck getting a work visa. Seriously, China is hyper strict when it comes to hanging out visas to foreigners. It’s like they assume the rest of the world has really bad credit.
