The first fight on the UFC on Fox 26 main card occurred in the light heavyweight division, where former title challenger Glover Teixeira and Canadian contender Misha Cirkunov collided in a clash of top-10 fighters.
Both men met at the center of the cage to start the bout. Cirkunov opened up with some body kicks. He began to unload with the jab. Teixeira secured a takedown. He took the back of his opponent. Teixeira rained down ground-and-pound for the TKO win.
Teixeira improved to 27-6 and 10-4 in the UFC. He’s won two of his past three and five of his past seven. Cirkunov (13-4) has dropped two straight and 4-2 in the Octagon.
