Until I was a teenager, I never knew that all cows were female. I figured a bull was another species of animal entirely, like a sister/brother mammal to the bison. New York City doesn’t teach you much about anything to do with farming, so for all you urban dwellers, I suggest taking a field trip to Connecticut from time to time. It’s that state with the blue license plates and mobs of Red Sox fans. They also have a much lower crime rate, and that’s probably because the smell of cows manure nearby is actually soothing the longer you sniff it. I’m really not sure if that’s true, but Rory MacDonald, Mark Hominick and Stefan Struve could tell you if it is. Check out this video of these guys petting large bulls that want to puncture their faces with horns.
