UFC Fight Night 129 took place last night (Sat., May 19, 2018) from inside Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile.
In the main headliner, Kamaru Usman defeated two-time UFC title challenger Demian Maia via unanimous decision but didn’t earn post-fight bonuses. In the co-headliner, women’s strawweight contender Tatiana Suarez choked out Alexa Grasso in the first round.
Former Invicta FC star and Flyweight newcomer Andrea Lee smothers Veronica Macedo to pick up a unanimous decision win. Lee improved to 9-2 with her fifth straight win.
Both women’s were rewarded with a $50K bonus for a hard-fought three-round.
The Performance of the Night goes to Peru’s Claudio Puelles who pulled off an insane third-round kneebar submission, over Felipe Silva and Mexico’s Gabriel Benitez, who stopped Humberto Bandenay in 39 seconds via powerful slam.
