UFC 223 Bonuses: Magomedsharipov & Bochniak Received $50K For Fight Of The Night

UFC 223 went down last night (Saturday, April 7, 2018) from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The main headliner saw undefeated Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov demolishes Al Iaquinta to win lightweight title, while the co-main event featured Rose Namajunas and Joanna Jedrzejczyk rematched for the strawweight title, where Namajunas defeats former titleholder to retain the title.

The two featherweights were granted Fight of the Night awards for their back and forth slugfest in the main card of Saturday’s UFC 223 in Brooklyn, New York. UFC officials awarded both Magomedsharipov and Bochniak with extra $50,000. (check out their highlight below)

UFC 223 victory marks Magomedsharipov’s third straight win in the UFC. Magomedsharipov is 15-1 as a professional fighter and called out Yair Rodriguez in his post-fight speech.

Performance of the Night awards was granted to Chris Gruetzemacher and Olivier Aubin-Mercier who took home $50,000.

Gruetzemacher beats UFC veteran Joe Lauzon via technical knockout. After the win, Gruetzemacher is 2-2 in the UFC and 14-3 in his overall MMA career. Olivier Aubin-Mercier scores the most impressive win of his career, taking out the Evan Dunham in less than a minute.
