UFC 221 Results: Tai Tuivasa TKO’s Cyril Asker With Elbows And Punches

A heavyweight bout between Cyril Asker and Tai Tuivasa took place on tonight’s (Sat., February 10, 2018) UFC 221 pay-per-view card from Perth, Australia.

Tai Tuivasa let his vicious elbows run wildly all over Cyril Asker before the referee mercifully stepped in to stop the fight for a clearly spent Asker.

Tai Tuivasa is now 7-0 with seven first-round knockouts. Cyril Asker is 9-4 and lost two of his past three.

This fight always felt like a formality for Tai Tuivasa, and from the get-go, he dominated the strikes, with his opponent barely throwing a punch. Tai opted to land vicious elbows more so than punches, and it was all over in just half a round.

He’s also quickly become a fan favorite and sent the crowd into raptures when he did a shoey on his way out of the cage.
