Tyron Woodley has had a lot of careers. He’s a former UFC champion, a 0-2 professional boxer, and a failed musician. Now, he’s a big-time Bollywood actor.

Aside from his work on the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, ‘The Chosen One’ has appeared in 12 films or television series over the last several years, including sequels to Escape Plan and Kickboxer. He even had a small role in the critically acclaimed biopic Straight Outta Compton in 2015. However, it’s his role in a Bollywood film called Sultan that has everyone in stitches on social media.

Recently, a clip surfaced on X via the Show Me The Money podcast of Woodley playing a character named—you guessed it—Tyron who is in the midst of a big battle with the film’s protagonist, Sultan Ali Khan. In the clip, which you can see below, Tyron rushes in and attempts to land the final blow on a downed Sultan. Suddenly, the hero of the film rolls out of the way, climbs back up to his feet, and lights up Woodley’s character with a combination of strikes.

Sultan then cinches in a kimura as Tyron attempts to take him down. Sultan quickly transitions from the kimura to a German suplex followed by a fireman’s carry slam that seemingly knocks out Tyron.

Yes, it’s all just as ridiculous as it sounds.

Tyron Woodley Set for a Return to MMA with the Global Fight League

Tyron Woodley has not competed in mixed martial arts since suffering his fourth straight loss inside the Octagon against Vicente Luque at UFC 260.

Since then, ‘T-Wood’ has competed in two professional boxing bouts, both against YouTube star Jake Paul. Woodley went the distances with ‘The Problem Child’ in August 2021 before suffering a sixth-round knockout in an immediate rematch four months later.

Woodley was recently the No. 1 overall pick in the first-ever Global Fight League draft. Woodley was selected by Team Dubai, coached by former UFC heavyweight titleholder Cain Velasquez and American Kickboxing Academy founder Javier Mendez. Woodley is expected to compete for the promotion sometime in 2025, assuming the promotion actually runs an event.
