Tyron Woodley isn’t going to take people dragging his name through the mud.

For many years Tyron Woodley was at the top of the UFC welterweight division. He was the champion from 2016 to 2019 and during that time have some hard-fought battles. Now that his UFC career is behind him, Woodley has been making the transition over to boxing and acting. His acting career is going great so far. He just appeared in the Nexflix series Cobra Kai and has been in a few movies as well. His boxing career has not been going as great.

Woodley has had two boxing matches against Jake Paul in the past year, he lost both. Despite the losses, and especially the last which was by KO, he doesn’t want people to judge his skills and merit on these performances. He feels that it was only one mistake in the second Paul fight that led to his downfall.

“I’m not gonna let no f–king YouTuber, do-tuber, nobody makes it seem as if I’m not the same type of fighter. I’m not the same guy,” Woodley said to TMZ Sports. “Based on one mistake, it only takes one there’s been many guys on the other end that took that one mistake against me, and they lights got shut out. Robbie dropped his hands at the wrong time. Dong Hyun Kim caught a spinning back fist right, and Darren Till thought he was gonna bully me but I bullied him, right, so at the end of the day, KSI, I like that he’s energetic, he’s all into it, he’s all over the place, but he’s gonna get f–ked up playing around with me.”

Tyron Woodley would be open to a boxing match against another YouTube star, KSI

Woodley brought up KSI, another YouTube star turned boxer that could be searching for a matchup with Woodley. He explained that there was a moment when he thought the pairing would be agreed upon, but claims the rapper was not up to a short-notice fight. KSI fought Logan Paul and beat him once, and has been making a name for himself in celebrity boxing much as the Paul brothers have. Apparently, fans voted that they would like to see this matchup between Woodly and KSI. Woodley thinks although the fans voted yes, KSI may have voted no.

“That’s why they voted me the least likely guy to fight because they asked me to fight him on two weeks’ notice, August 27 and I said let’s go, where we at? Let’s just get the money right? And ‘oh, he need a full camp, freaking pap smear, he need all these different things. So in my mind it’s like it’s all cap like that these guys are athletic,” he said. “They got a lot of money and time, they don’t have kids, they can put all their energy into the sport, but when if you want to keep saying you’re a real fighter and I never really say sh-t about KSI I mean do what actions talking sh-t to me really never got me going. But he always got my name in his mouth. He always got something smart to say so now I was like f–king put up or shut up. You want to fight, let’s fight? You got a full train, you wanna fight in January?”

Woodley is ready to take on KSI if they can come to terms. Woodley has also been teasing a possible return to MMA
