Tyron Woodley Believes He’d Put Conor McGregor To Sleep

Tyron Woodley: “If Khabib Nurmagomedov Was Able To Knock Conor McGregor Down, I’d Be Able To Knock Him Out”

Tyron Woodley looks for a big money fight, and Conor McGregor might be a perfect rival for a monstrous paycheck.

Both fighters might have a great benefit from this fight. If Conor McGregor becomes UFC Welterweight champion, he will be the only fighter in the history of UFC who won titles in three different weight classes. On the other side, Woodley would earn the greatest payday of his career if he meets UFC golden goose and cash cow.

It looks like Tyron Woodley believes he has more chances of defeating Irishman after watching his match versus Khabib Nurmagomedov. Conor McGregor lost the match versus an undefeated Dagestani via submission. But McGregor’s striking was far from good. Actually, Khabib scored the only knockdown on the match. After brutal weaving overhand right in the second round, Conor wobbled and his knee touched and ground!

Tyron Woodley spoke on “Fair Game” with Kristine Leahy. “The Chosen One” said he’d put The Irishman to sleep. According to Woodley, despite Khabib’s striking is not the greatest in UFC Lightweight division, “The Eagle” knocked “The Notorious” down. (h/t MMANews.com)

“Yeah,” Woodley said. “Especially after watching him fight Khabib. You know, Khabib is dope, and he was undefeated. When it comes down to overall martial arts and being able to be a great striker, and power, and wrestling, and defense, and striking, I think Khabib is dope for his pressure and his wrestling.

“But his striking is not the greatest in his division, and he was able to knock Conor down. So if Khabib could knock you down, I think I might be able to knock you out.”

Tyron Woodley and Conor McGregor have already had an incident in the past. They were involved in a confrontation at the official morning weigh-ins for UFC 205.

They also got into the altercation with each other later that day. Yet, this time, The Irishman yelled at Woodley backstage at the official weigh-ins.

Look at the tweets the two exchanged on November 11th, 2016.

Conor was promoted to the two-division champ after the main event of UFC 205, following his victory over Eddie Alvarez.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think Tyron Woodley would send McGregor to the canvas? Would you like to watch Woodley Vs McGregor?
