Georges is known as one of the greatest fighters ever, especially in the welterweight division. He retired in 2019 after winning a big fight in 2017 and becoming the middleweight champion.
St-Pierre Passes on $7M Offer to Face Tyron Woodley
Fans have been asking for years to see Georges St-Pierre come back to fight in the big cage, but he’s only talked about maybe doing a jiu-jitsu match.
Even though he’s not coming back for a fight, Tyron Woodley just shared that he and Georges were both offered a huge $7 million to fight each other in a big MMA match by one of Woodley’s friends in the Middle East.
“Georges St-Pierre never wanted to fight me. I’ve asked Georges to fight me several times. I had an opportunity to fight him last year and the year before,” Woodley recently told Plejmo.
“It was a five to seven-million-dollar purse and he said no. In MMA. My Middle East investor wanted the fight, seven million, but he said no. I would have beat his brains in,” Woodley added.
Tyron Woodley became the UFC welterweight champion in 2016 and successfully defended his title four times. However, after a tough four-fight losing streak, he left the UFC quietly.
The last time GSP almost fought was in a grappling match with Nick Diaz, but he hurt his shoulder while practicing and had to stop. Now, he says his shoulder is all better and he’s ready to go.

Tyron Woodley fought Jake Paul two times. The first time, Jake won by a tiny bit, but the second time, Jake knocked Tyron out really hard.
“Who do I want to win? I want them to get paid and make money. I ain’t got no horse in the race, I love Mike. I’m just excited to see him back and it seems like he’s ready to get after it, he looks scary, I wouldn’t even wanna hold pads for him,” Woodley told fans.
