Remember back in the day when Jens “Lil’ Evil” Pulver was crackin’ cats in violent, exciting fashion? If you’re not familiar you better ask somebody. Pulver was the first UFC Lightweight champion and put the small dude on the map. Now, Tyler Freeland is paving the way for Little People everywhere.
Pulver is a compact 5’7″ while Freeland stands at just 4’11” due to his dwarfism (although he normally rounds up to 5 feet), but he hasn’t let that stop him. Matter of fact, it’s he and his “Hulk Hands” who normally do the stopping. Out of Freeland’s 15-6 amateur record, 9 of those wins are by KO and he’s currently undefeated as a pro at 3-0.
On May 20th at Bellator 155, Freeland will have his highest profile fight yet against Joe Hamilton in the Bantamweight division.
