Two belts will be up for grabs at Strikeforce: Ohio

In 1974 a tornado destroyed most of Xenia, Ohio and set the stage for the greatest movie of all time: Gummo. It taught us that midget strength is unparalleled when compared to that of a regular-sized human being and if you want to get back at someone in the most deceptive manner, just step on a grape on your way out of a facility. It’s safe to say that the director of Gummo, Harmony Korine, won’t be in attendance at Strikeforce: Ohio, but Dan Henderson and Miesha Tate will be outfitted in 4oz gloves in an attempt to snatch up a Strikeforce belt in their respective divisions.

Marloes Coenen vs. Miesha Tate along with Dan Henderson vs. Rafael Cavalcante is now official for Strikeforce’s March 5th show in Columbus, Ohio. Mayhem Miller was slated to face Tim Kennedy to close out their on-going trilogy, but Luke Rockhold has replaced Miller as of, well — just a few hours ago. Actually, Tim Kennedy notified us this morning of the change of opponents, insisting that he was absolutely sure that he would fight Mayhem Miller at Strikeforce: Ohio. Jorge Masvidal vs. Billy Evangelista are also slated for the event, which will be held in conjunction with the Arnold Sports Festival.
