UFC 274 PPV MMA event went down last night (Sat., May 7, 2022) from inside Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
In the main headliner bout, the first round of UFC 274 concludes with Charles Oliveira strangling Justin Gaethje after surviving knockdowns.
Despite not being the champion, Oliviera proved to be the best Lightweight in the world once more. Although Oliveira survived some blows from Gaethje, he eventually injured him badly and dominated him on the mat.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Carla Esparza pull a win after scoring a split decision win over Rose Namajunas dull contest. Having fought on The Ultimate Fighter’s season 20, Namajunas and Esparza both possess a long history in the strawweight division. During the final match of the tournament, Namajunas and Esparza faced off, with Esparza successfully submitting “Thug Rose” in the third round to win the inaugural championship. Since that first bout, many things have changed.
Most thrilling fight of tonight was when Michael Chandler sleeps lightweight contender Tony Ferguson with a front kick in the second round. Immediately after the win, Chandler calls out Conor McGregor.
