It’s official: Tonya Evinger won her appeal and gets her Invicta belt back from the completely wrong decision by the ref to stop Evinger from standing on Yana Kunitskaya’s face. Was it brutal? Oh yeah. Was it legal though? Yes, it was. Wait, is standing on some fighter’s head a proper defense for an armbar? You try to get hip leverage with someone’s on your skull.
What’s with all these questions? Open and shut case right? Well, because unfortunately after Evinger’s case was appealed, dude bros came out of the woodwork to try and discredit it and even her opponent wasn’t too happy about it.
Lol I didn't use a lawyer to win the fight, stfu @YanaKunitskaya .. disrespectful af

…But the best interaction out of this entire shit-show was this one right here hands down. Do not come at Evinger on Twitter, keyboard warriors. You will get GOT.
Here is Evinger’s official word on the decision below and a clip of the foot-on-face that started this whole scenario in Invica’s post-fight wrap up.
