Interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is one of the most awkward fighters you’ll ever see compete in the Octagon. El Cucuy has amassed an impressive nine-fight win streak on the heels of confusing foes with unorthodox movement on the feet, pounding them with elbows and combinations from all angles, submitting them with his patented D’Arce choke.
Ferguson has adopted an unusual way to prep for a big showdown with Khabib Nurmagomedov for the “undisputed” 155-pound belt; fight fans may get scared to watch the footage, yes Tony Ferguson is actually kicking a freaking pipe.

“This is about a 10,000 PSI pipe. It’s steel braided. This is my conditioning for my shins. Or elbows. It’s hard body, if you all want a demonstration.”
He throws two hard kicks at the pipe. He checks his chins. “No blood,” he says. He then shows that all the dents in the pipe are in the middle, not the top or bottom. “F—k his stomach,” he says. “Right in the arms. I’m gonna break his arms.”
UFC 223 is set to take place April 7 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. The main card airs on pay-per-view (PPV) following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. Khabib Nurmagomedov will challenge interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson in the main event.
