Tony Ferguson reignited his UFC rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov in a fiery post.

Khabib belittled Irish MMA

Nurmagomedov made headlines recently after mocking Irish MMA, emphasizing that Dagestani fighters are way better. He addressed the issue on X once again, sticking to his stance on the matter.

“You can say whatever you want, but if we’re talking about facts, you can’t compare Irish fighters with fighters from Dagestan. We dominate amateur MMA, and it’s not even close—not just compared to Irish fighters but the whole world. I’m absolutely confident that if we were to organize a team vs. team matchup, Dagestan would defeat a world team in amateur MMA.

And when it comes to professional MMA, we have champions, contenders, and ranked fighters in every major league. Show me Irish fighters who are currently title contenders in the top 3 MMA promotions. At best, you might be able to name 1 or 2 fighters

The facts speak for themselves,” the former lightweight champion wrote.

Tony with a surprise reply

Surprisingly, Nurmagomedov’s post earned a shocking response from “El Cucuy.” Ferguson viciously blasted “The Eagle” and reminded him about their past rivalry.

“Shut Up Fathead [You’re] Still My B*tch,” Ferguson wrote on his reply to Nurmagomedov’s post. “You fought 2 round “pro” padded fights leading up to the @ufc Easy to talk when you’re not competing ya Eunic Once a coward always a coward – Champ -CSO- # 29-1 ok maybe 2.”

Prior to this, Nurmagomedov already wished the best for Ferguson after “El Cucuy” suffered his eighth consecutive loss. However, Ferguson insists that he is far from done.

Ferguson and Nurmagomedov never met inside the Octagon but were scheduled to fight five times in the past but for various reasons, it never came to fruition. The last time they were slated to take on each other was at UFC 249. However, the bout was eventually canceled in the middle of the pandemic.
