Tony Ferguson believes Khabib conceded one in his undefeated career.

Former UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov headlined the UFC Hall of Fame class of 2022 this past Thursday. Khabib retired at the very top level with a final title defense against Justin Gaethje in October 2020. During his career, he was matched up with Tony Ferguson on multiple occasions but the fight kept eluding him.

Tony Ferguson bashed Khabib: “BOGOs on Tuesdays for tiramisu”

In an interview with Helen Yee Sports, ‘El Cucuy’ talked about the idea of coaching a season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite Khabib.

“I’m not saying it’s US vs. Russia but it’d be kind of interesting. Joe Lewis had the opportunity to be able to compete and just kinda go out there and do that. That’s a chance, an opportunity for myself and for Khabib to be able to go out there and demonstrate what we know, which is sports.

“He’s 29 and 1 if I’m concerned. BOGOs on Tuesdays for tiramisu.”

Ferguson is willing to move up weight classes to fight Khabib

Khabib has been enjoying life in retirement and appears to have put on a considerable amount of weight. He was recently seen in a video dominating the former UFC Middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in a grappling drill.

Ferguson is open to competing against him at 170 or 185 lbs, two divisions neither of them fought at in the UFC.

“It’s an old joke but I never poke fun at his family, never poke fun at his religion. I don’t have to do that. If he’s man enough and he has the balls like he just got in the Hall of Fame. I got time to be in the Hall of Fame, I’m already in that b*tch. I’m not worried about that, I saw the new belt, I had to build my house a little bit bigger so that way I had a new shelf to put the belt on there.”

“I found the interest again, I found the fire and I think a lot of people see that. I’m putting on size too so if it’s at 170 or 185, it’s not a matter. I bumped up two weight classes in college, I wrestled Jon Jones and I lost by one point.”

Khabib joins the UFC Hall of Fame along with former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier.
