Ferguson Calling For Big Fights Following UFC 238 Win
Tony Ferguson was victorious over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone last night, at UFC 238. Following this win, he is shooting his shot for bigger fights in the division.
Ferguson’s victory over Cerrone was not as he may have desired. The fight ended in between the second and third rounds, after Ferguson landed a late blow. Cowboy tried to clear his broken nose, which caused his eye to swell shut. Subsequently, the ref stopped the fight.
I don’t know what else I have to do in this division to keep after it. Like I said, it’s a round robin tournament, but I’m tired of it. I’m here to stay. I am the f–king champ. …If Dustin Poirier don’t do it, I’m going to do it man. Tiramisu needs an a– whooping, he needs two to the stomach from me.”
“If it’s McNuggets for a money fight, he’s an athlete too. I know the division misses him. I’m pretty sure he misses the fight game too. We need to see these fighters keep coming out and represent the sport because that’s why you got into it.”
Ferguson is very hyped to be back in action. It has been a tough go for him lately. However, he is still on a 12-fight winning streak. He is also the former interim champ, who was stripped of his belt due to injury.
Tony Ferguson is back, and either a Khabib fight or a McGregor fight is the way to go.
