Tommy McMillen Says He Is Still Hungry Before Marwan Rahiki Noche UFC Fight

McMillen is already 2-0 in the UFC, but he says the Noche UFC turnaround is part of the start he expected.

Tommy McMillen is not treating his Noche UFC fight with Marwan Rahiki like a victory lap. The unbeaten featherweight is already 2-0 inside the Octagon, but a new UFC on Paramount+ short shows him framing the September 12 card in Glendale, Arizona as another step in a run he expected to make.

The source clip is below.

McMillen talked about the quick turnaround after his first two UFC appearances and made clear he is not looking to sit back after the early checks and attention.

“Not many people go into there, you know, first two UFC fights and pass a quarter million and just turn around and take on another fight. A lot of people would be having their feet kicked up on a yacht, celebrating, you know, I’m hungry.”

“This is just the beginning and it’s unfolding just like I knew it would.”

That is a useful snapshot of where McMillen is before Noche UFC. He stopped Manolo Zecchini in the first round in April, then beat Alberto Montes by third-round TKO in July during the same UFC Oklahoma City card where the promotion handed out $100,000 bonus checks. His official UFC profile lists him at 11-0 with 10 finishes.

McMillen Gets Another Unbeaten Fighter In Arizona

The fight itself has enough heat without any extra dressing. UFC.com lists McMillen against Rahiki at Noche UFC: Silva vs. Delgado on September 12 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Rahiki is also unbeaten at 9-0, which gives the matchup a real prospect-vs-prospect edge instead of a showcase feel.

MiddleEasy already covered Rahiki’s side of the booking when he promised early violence against McMillen, and the card has continued filling out around notable names, including Curtis Blaydes against Waldo Cortes-Acosta. McMillen’s latest clip adds his side of the emotional temperature before fight week gets there.

For McMillen, a 3-0 UFC start would keep the finishing streak, Arizona timing and rising-prospect label moving in the same direction. For Rahiki, it is the same kind of opportunity on the other side: beat another unbeaten fighter on a Noche UFC card and crash the featherweight conversation fast.
