UFC London main card is brimming with talent as Aspinall and Till join the ranks.
The growth of mixed martial arts in the UK has been at record levels in the last few years. Following the rise of the first-ever British champion in the UFC, Michael Bisping, many sensational names have come out of the region.
UFC recently made its return to the UK after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. In a card stacked with homegrown talent, the promotion returned to The O2 Arena in March this year for UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall.
Tom Aspinall will headline UFC London
After a glorious return to the nation that saw each Englishman and Englishwoman win on the night, UFC declared its plans to come back for a show this year. During an episode of The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani broke the news that heavyweights Tom Aspinall and Curtis Blaydes will serve as the main event for UFC London on July 23.
Aspinall is coming off an incredible submission win over Alexander Volkov and is set for his second consecutive main event at home in the UK.
Blaydes will be looking to extend his two-fight win streak to three against Aspinall after racking up wins over Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Chris Daukaus in his previous two outings.
Darren Till will return to action against Jack Hermansson
UFC middleweight contender Darren Till has been slated to face Jack Hermansson in his return to the octagon. While the bout has not been confirmed by the promotion, MMAnytt originally reported that Till and Hermansson have verbally agreed to fight at UFC London.
Joining his fellow Brit Aspinall, Till will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after losing out to Derek Brunson by submission in his most recent outing last September. He had previously lost to former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker by decision.
