TJ Dillashaw Still Holds Grudges Against Cody Garbrandt: ‘I Said I’d Ruin His Career, I’m Doing It.’

TJ Dillashaw Is Happy That He Ruined Cody Garbrandt’s UFC Career Just As He Predicted

TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt’s rivalry is in the rearview now, but both former teammates still hold animosity toward each other.

Dillashaw a current bantamweight champion who bested Garbrandt twice, first at UFC 217 via second-round TKO in November then went on to scored a first-round TKO victory at UFC 227 earlier in August.

The reigning champion who’s smiling at the fact that he slept former champion twice said his feelings toward Garbrandt is still not changed. He’s taking pride in ruining ‘No Love’s’ career.

“Hell yeah I’m cool with how it unfolded [in the second Garbrandt fight],” Dillashaw said. “It’s exactly as I said it was going to go down. I told you I was going to knock him out in the first round, I did. I said I’d ruin his career, I’m doing it. The guy is screwed at 135. He should have went back to the drawing board and gotten better, but he talked his way into an ass-whooping.” (H/T MMAJunkie)

TJ Dillashaw added that it’s not only about whopping Garrabrant’s ass twice, but it was about shutting off the Team Alpha Male, who’s many members made scathing remarks about him before his two fights with ‘No Love.’

I’m happy,” Dillashaw said. “It’s not only him, it’s the whole team. The whole team needed a (expletive) ass-whooping. They talked all that crap, they want to accuse me of a bunch of bull(expletive). That’s the game. Karma’s a (expletive).”

Cody Garbrandt hasn’t fought since his loss to Dillashaw but he already got an offer from Jimmie Rivera who called him out recently, while TJ who’s thinking to drop down to flyweight and whoop newly-crowned champion Henry Cejudo’s ass.
