It looks like there was something to that Rich Franklin/Chuck Liddell poster floating around the net last week. According to UFC.com, UFC 115 will feature Rich Franklin vs. Chuck Liddell instead of the proposed Tito Ortiz vs. Chuck Liddell of which the entire TUF 11 show is based off of. Fortunately for all your British Columbians out there, UFC 115 will still go down in Vancouver however there is no mention of Alves vs. Fitch which was also promised to us after Alves finished injecting superglue into his brain.
Up until a few weeks ago, Tito Ortiz tweeted (twatted?) that he was still a lock for a third rematch with Chuck Liddell following The Ultimate Fighter 11. Tito Ortiz also told us that he bought an ipad for Jenna Jameson, which is probably the only guy on the face of the earth that can tweet that he bought one of Apple’s most coveted products for his ex-pornstar girlfriend. We can only speculate what happened during the show (or after) for Tito to be axed from UFC 115. According to that mysterious picture of the TUF gym, it looks like something happened during the shooting that forced Tito Ortiz out of his bout. Whatever it is, we no longer will know how a fight between Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz will turn out…aside from those two times when Chuck knocked out Tito Ortiz. Props to Drew Davies for the tip.
