Golden Boy Officials Spoiled Tito Ortiz “Gravedigger” Celebration!

Watch: Why Did Golden Boy Officials Goof Up Tito Ortiz Famous “Gravedigger” Celebration Routine?!

Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz fought on Saturday night at the main event of Golden Boy MMA 1 in Inglewood, California. Tito put “The Iceman” to sleep via first-round KO after an outstanding three-punch combo.

After Chuck Liddell missed with a weaving overhand right, Tito Ortiz rocked him for the first time with a great countershot. Chuck recovered and delivered a good jab that stunned “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy”. Liddell missed with a right hand again. Ortiz opened with a light combo, and then knocked “The Iceman” out cold via fabulous three strikes. You can see the brutal KO in the video below.

Yet, Golden Boy’s first event will be remembered for a different hilarious moment. It turned into a hot topic on social media overnight. It looks like the officials in the cage didn’t follow Tito’s earlier fights. They unintentionally goofed up his worldwide known “gravedigger” celebration!

Every fighter has a specific way to celebrate a victory. For example, Anderson Silva plays the guitar while Rampage Jackson howls like a wolf. Thiago Silva is known for a provocative ritual.

Tito Ortiz pretends to dig up the opponent’s grave, drags the rival’s body into the hole, and covers it up with dust. Maybe this is not the most pleasant to watch, but it is far from a threat.

But the officials stepped in and didn’t even let him complete the celebration! They recognized “gravedigger” as “code red”. Look what happened in the video below.

Nobody wants a brawl between the fighters after the match. But Tito Ortiz didn’t even get close to Chuck Liddell he was at least 2 meters away!

Do you think the officials should stop this one? Do you believe everybody became paranoid after Khabib vs Conor UFC 229 post-fight incident? Who knows, maybe officials had to justify their salaries?
