Tito Ortiz goes one on one with Joe Rogan

The title to this article is both 100% accurate and 100% deceiving. Only a conversation that is being filmed and edited to be distributed to the masses to hype an event could ever be dubbed ‘going one on one’. It’s just talking, but I guess that isn’t as gripping. ‘Joe Rogan talks to Tito Ortiz’…that doesn’t have the same flow, I admit it.

Either way, I hold to my original statement; in no situation other than a taped hype video will anyone ever use ‘going one on one’ as a euphemism for polite conversation. If you called up your friend to talk about his drinking problem and told him you wanted to go one on one with him at a coffee shop he might show up in basketball shorts and a shirt with the sleeves cut off, wondering why you didn’t want to play on the court. Your friend is also pretty dumb.
