Tim Sylvia vs. Hong Man Choi possible for Dream’s NYE event

Actually it could be Tim Sylvia vs. Alistair Overeem for Dream’s New Years Eve event but the chances of that happening are about as slim as Ben Henderson beating Donald Cerrone at WEC 43. If you were unfortunate enough to get severely screwed by DirecTV when they dropped Versus from their lineup, the only thing you really need to know is that a lot of bookies just went out of business last night.

Monte Cox was interviewed by Fanhouse regarding Tim Sylvia’s career and he broke the news that Tim Sylvia was actually supposed to make his Dream debut as soon as Dream 12 on October 25th but had to pull out from an injury he sustained at Adrenaline 4 (where he grabbed his first win in 2 years). Cox also mentioned that two opponents that have been discussed for his Japanese debut: Alistair Overeem or Hong Man Choi. Since Choi caught an L from Minowaman after that impossible knee-bar/ankle lock/weird leg thing at Dream 11, he’s out of the Super Hulk tourney…but available to fight for New Years.

Well Shaq, looks like you’re going to have to wait to get your shot at Hong Man Choi. Your Shaq-Fu will have to be rescheduled. [Source]
