After months of lobbying, Tim Kennedy has finally gotten his wish. On July 30th he goes toe to toe with Granite City’s Robbie Lawler. I’m calling it now: this Fedor/Hendo card is going to go down in infamy like Hendo/Babalu did: Strikeforce: Brain Damage. The combined knockout power of just Fedor and Hendo was enough to blow the roof off of the Sears Center, but now with Paul Daley, Scott Smith, Cyborg, Kennedy and Lawler all under the same lights, I think a giant crater will be left somewhere near Hoffman Estates, IL by July 31st.
The Strikeforce middleweight division is pretty shallow at this point. Will the winner of this match go on to face the winner of Jacare/Rockhold September 10th? Who knows, but while we wait for the next edition of Cooking with Tim, I’m sure Mr Kennedy is in his kitchen developing a recipe for success against Lawler. Get it? Recipe?
