Former UFC middleweight standout Tim Kennedy is snapping back at those who question his decorated military background.

Before making a name for himself inside the cage, Kennedy served his country as a member of the U.S. Army from January 2004 to August 2009 when he transitioned from active duty to the Texas Army National Guard. During his initial enlistment, Kennedy was deployed multiple times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Kennedy received multiple medals for his service, including a Bronze Star, an Army Achievement Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, and a host of other honors, many of which he discussed in his memoir Scars and Strikes: An Unapologetically American Story of Fighting the Taliban, UFC Warriors, and Myself

However, several of Kennedy’s claims in the aforementioned autobiography have recently come under scrutiny by former special forces operators who suggest that the ex-Strikeforce fighter is embellishing his military record.

Recently, Kennedy was called out by Brent Tucker, a former Delta Force Operator, who took to Instagram to share an interview where Kennedy admits to forgetting the names of his comrades who died in action. He juxtaposed the clip with an interview of a former serviceman on The Antihero Podcast who stated that he would never forget the names of men and women who died alongside him on the battlefield.

Tim Kennedy Reacts to Tucker’s Insinuation

It’s certainly not the first time Tucker has posted a video clip questioning Kennedy’s claims, but this one appeared to really piss off the former fighter.

In a video posted on YouTube, Kennedy responded to Tucker’s insinuation with a fiery expletive-filled response.

“When you’re having Memorial Day, and I can’t remember their names… Yeah, it freakin’ sucks. And for you to insinuate that I don’t care about them, f*ck you! Just f*ck you. I can keep going and going. But no matter how many things there are, and no matter how many answers I give, there will never be enough for some people.”
