Darren Till and Henry Cejudo have shared their takes on the situation involving Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal.
While Covington and Masvidal mixed it up in the main event of UFC 272, their beef is far from over. Covington defeated Masvidal via unanimous decision but after the fight, “Gamebred” made it clear that it’s still “on sight’ if he runs into “Chaos” on the streets.
Masvidal was arrested by Miami Beach Police on March 23. He was charged with aggravated battery with a mask and criminal mischief after allegedly attacking Covington in a restaurant.
Till & Cejudo On Alleged Attack By Jorge Masvidal
During an episode of the Triple C & The Schmo Show, Darren Till discussed the incident involving Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington.
“I don’t know. I mean, Masvidal had his chance to beat Colby up but they both said if they see each other in the street it’s on. So, I suppose if you say that it’s on.”
Henry Cejudo chimed in, expressing his belief that a sneak attack wasn’t the route to go.
“I would agree with you but if it’s pre-meditated and some dude like doesn’t — you know what I’m saying? I get if they bump into [each other] randomly but if somebody’s able to make a phone call to let you know he’s there, then some dude’s like — you ever go into a restaurant and you’re full? Dude, that shit’s hard to fight. Just that scenario I don’t like.”
Till responded by saying that’s just the name of the game on the streets.
“Some people are street guys, some aren’t. Colby’s great in the Octagon but he’s not really a street guy, Masvidal is. That’s just like a beef that’s never gonna end. It’s what they said, it was on sight. So, I suppose it’s on sight every time they see each other. You just have to live with that.”
