Throwback Thursday: new UFC signee Seo Hee Ham lives up to her Hamderlei Silva nickname

MMA fact: every single entrance is made better with robes. Robes are not just for when you’re sick or want to get out of the shower and forgot a towel. Set to make her UFC debut “The Ultimate Fighter 20” finale on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas, Seo Hee Ham sees the value in a shiny prefight robe.

Ham has won six straight fights and will be paired with TUF 20 cast member Joanne Calderwood on the finale’s undercard.

Even in her first ever MMA fight Ham intimidated her opponent with efficient yet comfortable prefight attire. Traveling back to Feb. 16, 2007 at Deep 28 Impact, Ham made her maiden MMA voyage versus Smackgirl vet Hisae Watanabe. Not to get upstaged by some MMA rookie, Watanabe’s walkout gear consists of a Kraven the Hunter sleeveless vest along with lots of cheetah print.

Watanabe is the unofficial fourth member of Josie and the Pussycats. She plays the triangle and she’s the enforcer of the group.

Nicknamed “Hamderlei Silva”, Ham fights with a reckless abandon that would remind Wanderlei Silva to keep his chin tucked. Any fighter nicknamed after Wanderlei Silva has wrists rolls down, loves techno beats, and grin at the thought of getting involved in a firefight inside the ring.

Ham and Watanabe attempt reenact Silva vs. Liddell from UFC 79 inside the Deep ring. Except in this fight there are more knock downs, slams, and punches per second thrown. Marvel at their prefight outfits while your jaws drop at the unblocked face punching Ham and Watanabe unleash on one another.
