This is what happens when Jimi Manuwa finally decides he is ready to come to the UFC

Prior to UFC on Fuel 5, I was fiddling around on the net instead of doing the stack of paperwork my boss laid on my desk three hours earlier. While I was doing everything possible to ensure I would not be nominated for an employee of the month award, I came across a promo for the UFC newbie Jimi Manuwa. What struck me most about the promo was when Manuwa mentioned turning down multiple offers to come to the UFC prior to his Saturday night debut. I’m sure that guys turning down chances to come to the UFC has got to be a rarity but he said he turned down the previous offers because at the time  he didn’t feel he was ‘ready’.

I don’t know how Manuwa would have performed had he debuted prior to this weekend’s UFC Nottingham, but from the looks of Kyle Kingsbury’s face following 10 minutes of battle with the guy-he seems to know how to gauge his UFC readiness with impressive accuracy. If you don’t cringe and get sympathy face pain from looking at this pic of Kyle Kingsbury’s face post Jimi Manuwa fist mutilation, then I suspect you’re in a state of stasis much like a Cohaagan robot on a trip through the core of the earth to invade the colony.
