We’re pretty sure Evolve MMA went undefeated last night/early morning at ONE FC: Kings & Champions. We only wish we were up to see the entire event. This weekend is a veritable fight orgy. With ONE FC just a few hours ago, Invicta FC just a few hours away, Glory 6 tomorrow morning (which can be ordered on LiverKick), and UFC on Fuel TV: Mousasi vs. Latifi at some point tomorrow (at least we think), your free time has suddenly been consumed with human beings beating the blood out of each other all for the sake of your entertainment. You should feel privileged that people out there are willing to get their face pummeled in so you can get the most bang for your buck. Take for example the former ONE FC lightweight champion Kotetsu Boku at ONE FC: Kings & Champions. The guy put up a valiant effort but all attempts at retaining his championship strap were thwarted by Shinya Aoki’s god-like ground skills.
Although the owner of Evolve MMA, Chatri Sityodtong, promised us Aoki would get a ‘Tiramisu submission’ (some bonehead concept we created after Shinya pulled off a ‘Banana Split Submission‘ in this video), a tight rear-naked choke is good enough for us.
