I’ll always be the first to admit that I’m a shameless self-promoter when it comes to my various ventures (click the link in my bio and buy my book, for example), but sometimes there are these odd moments where time streams are crossed and something I’ve done becoming oddly relevant due to current events. These things are never really planned and usually unexpected, but when they happen they are pretty rad, if I do say so myself. This has happened with Invicta FC 7, which is coming up this very weekend with a stacked card. I mean, three title fights is nothing to scoff at, especially with one of them involving Miriam Nakimoto.
Today the fine team from AllElbows (Esther Lin and E. Casey Leydon with some help from Cynthia Vance) released their 25-minute long Invicta FC 7 video, Road to Honchak vs. Smith and I was a bit taken off-guard when I heard myself playing the goddamned guitar at about the 11:35 mark or so. Not because I hadn’t spoken with Esther about using some of my old band’s stuff for a video, but because I didn’t know it was going to be this video. So yeah, this is pretty rad for multiple reasons, the main one that you should care about is that this weekend’s Invicta FC 7 is going to be incredible, the secondary one is so you can say something awful to me in the comments section and do so in an educated manner.
