A couple of days ago on MMAJunkie radio, Mike Pierce called out Thiago Alves and had some pretty decent smack talk regarding Alves on Facebook. On Twitter, Pierce said ‘This place is as dead as Thiago Alves’ and ‘Thiago Alves to be featured on Biggest Loser on Dec 23rd’. He even asked Dana to give him the fight with Alves as a birthday present so he has time to make the cut by December. Mike Pierce with the jokes, who knew?
In reality, the jokes is on Pierce. MMAJunkie just broke the news that John ‘Doomsday’ Howard will be fighting Thiago Alves at UFC 124 in December, not Mike Pierce.
I’ve watched a video of Mike Pierce devouring an entire teaspoon of dry cinnamon powder without choking or vomiting on himself which certainly qualifies him as an attractive badass. He would have awarded the MMA world with a healthy dose of pre-fight smack talk to write about, so it’s unfortunate this fight isn’t happening. However, Doomsday showed us on his UFC vlog that he can eat a fried pork chop covered in half a bottle of Frank’s Hot Sauce.
