There was a women’s MMA fight in the Middle East last weekend, is this real life?!

I got an email this morning from a guy that said MiddleEasy should be partial to this Arab MMA event since our site is just one letter away from ‘Middle East.’ That’s pretty deep logic. Almost like how people say President Obama’s name is just one letter away from ‘Osama.’ I guess the same could be applied to No Fear Energy drink’s slogan, ‘It gives you a kick.’ I mean, just imagine if the ‘kick’ was replaced with the fourth level of the alphabet and that phrase would have an entirely new meaning — a meaning that would be widely popular in West Hollywood and parts of San Francisco.

It appears the Middle East has finally stopped whining about Sam Bacile’s hilarious Islam movie and gently placed their Soviet-era rocket launchers down to host an MMA event last weekend that included — women’s MMA. Revolution Fighting Championship hosted their second event this past weekend, this time inside the Dead Sea. I’m not even certain on the logistics on that statement, but according to their official site, they’ve discovered a way to make it happen. However, perhaps even more mindblowing is the fact that Arab’s premiere MMA organization actually hosted a women’s MMA fight between featherweights Intisar Binsassi from Tunisia and Egypt’s Enas Khorshed. Check out the bout below, which actually ends in the first round.
