The UFC 144 extended preview makes February 25th feel so far away

The UFC makes it’s return to Japan almost thirteen years after UFC Japan II, and this time to the Saitama Super Arena to host the barnburner of a main event in Frankie Edgar Vs. Ben Henderson. The co main event is interesting with Rampage’s return to Japan against Ryan Bader, but my god, the rest of the card is insane. I can’t wait for Mark Hunt Vs. Cheick Kongo (which I shall replicate in Undisputed 3 as soon as I finish this article, on simulation settings of course), I can’t wait for Sexyama Vs. Jake Shields. I haven’t mentioned Joe Lauzon battling Anthony Pettis or Palaszewski/Hioki fighting with featherweight title implications or even the return of Gomi to Japan…I can’t wait.

Also the event will be going down in the future. It will be Sunday when they are broadcasting live to us on Saturday night. OK I know that isn’t the future, but it’s still cool.

After watching this I’ve come to the realization that ten minutes isn’t enough for UFC 144, I know the longer shows are going to come out closer to the event but those won’t be long enough either. I could watch a movie about Cheick Kongo Vs. Mark Hunt for an hour as it is.

Thanks to Esther Lin for the banner pic.
