The most comprehensive argument for women’s MMA that you will see this year

It was only two years ago when MiddleEasy made the case that women should fight in five minute rounds. Since that article, the rules have been changed, which only denotes something that we’ve previously suggested in our MiddleEasy stickers. With the purchase of Strikeforce by ZUFFA, it’s silly to not think the women divisions within Strikeforce are in limbo. Not the kind of limbo that your uncle used to play when you were a kid to show that he was still a spry young man. We’re talking about the place in Dante’s Inferno, the first circle of hell where unbaptized and the virtuous pagans reside. Perhaps not that deep, but there is a possibility that women in Strikeforce may be a thing of the past, and that should disturb any true MMA fan.

Our great friends over at Women’s MMA Round-Up have created a video entitled ‘Dear Dana’ that makes the reasonable and sound argument for retaining women in Strikeforce and including a female division in UFC. Be sure to follow them on Twitter, since they’ve been paving the path of women in MMA for years now. [Source]
