The latest UFC 3 stat changes have been released

Sometime last night, THQ snuck into all of our Playstation 3s and Xbox 360s and impregnated them with a plethora of stat changes to our UFC 3 roster, like a secret that Santa farted. And before we get into it; snuck is very much a word. People have tried to tell me sneaked is the word that I should use, and I could, but both are acceptable. Click here for proof.

Lots of changes to the UFC 3 roster have come down from upon the Zuffa mountain where decisions are made, and we have the breakdown of some of the more interesting stat changes below.

  • Mark Munoz – Standing Strike Defense down 2 points to 73, Ground Strike Defense down 3 points to 80, Takedown Defense down 3 points to 81
  • Urijah Faber – Footwork down 4 points to 84, Standing Strike Defense down 2 points to 82, Standing Kick Defense down 2 points to 73
  • Renan Barao – Footwork up 4 points to 85, Standing Strike Offense up 2 points to 85, Standing Kick Offense up 1 point to 86, Takedown Defense up 2 points to 80
  • Cheick Kongo – Clinch Strike Offense up 1 point to 83, Clinch Grapple Offense up 3 points to 73
  • Chael Sonnen – Takedown Offense down 2 points to 83
  • Chad Mendes – Standing Strike Offense up 3 points to 79 (due to Cody McKenzie gut punch and an alleged other standing strike)
  • Melvin Guillard – Ground Grapple Top Defense down 2 points to 76, Submission Defense up 2 points to 70
  • Frank Mir – Footwork down 2 points to 75 (UFC 3’s first Strikeforce fighter, neat)
  • Roy Nelson – Standing Strike Offense up 3 points to 82 (anti-TRT rating went up to 99)
  • Junior Dos Santos – Footwork up 2 points to 87, Standing Strike Offense up 2 points to 92
  • Jason Miller – Cardio down 3 points to 75, Standing Strike Offense up 2 points to 76, Takedown Defense down 3 points to 74, Ground Grapple Bottom Offense down 3 points to 78 (retirement stat moved to 100)
  • Chan Sung Jung – Standing Strike Offense up 2 points to 85, Standing Strike Defense up 2 points to 82, Submission Offense up 3 points to 80 (one of my favorite featherweights to use in UFC 3, there should be a ‘zombie mode’ button)
  • Alan Belcher – Ground Grapple Top Offense up 5 points to 75, Ground Grapple Top Defense up 3 points to 78, Submission Defense up 5 points to 76 (if Palhares can’t sub you and you’ve been subbed once in your career, 76 seems low…)
  • Pat Barry – Standing Strike Defense down 4 points to 76
  • Dan Hardy – Standing Strike Defense up 2 points to 80
  • Stefan Struve –  Ground Grapple Bottom Offense up 2 points to 89, Submission Offense up 1 point to 86
  • John Hathaway – Standing Strike Offense up 4 points to 73, Ground Strike Offense up 3 points to 82, Takedown Offense up 2 points to 82
  • Martin Kampmann – Standing Strike Offense up 2 points to 81, Standing Strike Defense up 2 points to 82 (the getting punched a few times in the face to get warmed up mechanic will have to be implemented in EA UFC)

Good stuff, hopefully we will be finding out if there is an upcoming patch soon. As always, I will keep my ear to the ground for more MMA videogame news for you, the beautiful people.
