I was never a huge fan of Power Rangers when I was young. I always preferred the Minowaman endorsed Ultimate Muscle for my Japanese programming kicks as a youngster. Unfortunately, I had to endure carpools home from grade school with one of the most unhealthily obsessed Mighty Morphin Power Ranger fans of all time. So when Jason David Frank let the public know earlier this year he was gunning for his MMA debut, my ears instantly perked. It just so happens that this dude, not only has 3 first names but he has a 6th degree black belt in karate. The green/white Power Ranger made his MMA debut Friday night at ‘Lonestar Beatdown’ in Houston TX and submitted his opponent, Jonathan Mack, with an omoplata in the first round…we even have video to prove it:
