Winning by submission in MMA has been cool since 1993. It’s as timeless as a set of Converse Chuck Taylors and a snap-back hat. I’d lie and pretend like I wore stuff like that back then, but it was the early 90’s and JNCOs were in style, so I made it a point to get suspended for rollerblading to class as often as possible. Props to Ronda for keeping it old-school, completely disregarding the totality of Miesha’s evolution as a fighter and her experience & durability just to provide MMA fans with another memorable infinitely looping .gif en route to snatching up a championship belt. I’ve been looking forward to this video since the minute Ronda finished Miesha Tate at Strikeforce this past weekend. By the looks of it, the Gracies were equally as excited to break down her victory.
