The ghetto version of Bully Beatdown is here, and it looks friggin’ awesome

I may live in Hollywood, California, but I grew up in the vicinity of Garland, Texas — one of the most unintentionally ghetto places in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The kids that created that infamous AZN Pride – Got Rice used to visit the pool hall my buds frequented when we were in high school. After one incident in which a kid tried impaling another kid with a chopstick (I can’t even make that up), the owner of the pool hall decided to convert his facility to an underground fight club every Friday night.

Essentially people would sign up to participate in a two-round boxing match between their arch nemesis — a person that did something they deemed socially unacceptable (step on their shoe, sleep with their girlfriend…etc). The two people would then strap on gloves and step inside a ring only to flay their arms wildly until one of them gassed out. The person not on the mat gasping for air would be deemed the winner.

Something tells me this newly released trailer of a show called ‘Brawl it Out’ follows the same blueprint — although just a tad more Jerry Springerish.
