The first MMA match ever?

Eighteen months before UFC 1, the UWFI, a Japanese wrestling promotion, put on a ‘real’ fight between Kiyoshi Tamura and Matthew Saad Muhammad in the promotion’s first ever ‘shoot match’. Usually pro wrestling is fake (it’s still real to me) but this fight pit a very real striker vs a wrestling ace with wins over Pat Miletich and more.
