[div class=”notice” class2=”icon”]The following is from an article on MMA-Japan, part of the MiddleEasy Network.[/div]
If you’re at all like me you’ve tried your very best to avoid reading the results of the last Dream event, and failed miserably. The internet is simply too fast for me. On the other hand, television in 2011 is far too slow, at least when it comes to showing Japanese Mixed Martial Arts.
Just announced on their Facebook page, HDNet will finally air the Dream: Japan GP Final in about two weeks on Friday August 5 th at 10pm ET. The event originally took place at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo back on July 16 th but wasn’t broadcasted in the US . We can speculate all we want about why HDNet hasn’t been airing live Dream events recently but we just don’t know. Some have said it’s because the ratings are poor when it starts at three in the morning. Some say it’s because HDNet needs time to chop the lengthy shows down to just a couple of hours, making it much more palatable for American fans. Personally, I like to think the Yakuza’s love for Svetlana and Art Mann are involved somehow. Regardless, it’s nearly here and I couldn’t be more excited.
