Tai Tuivasa isn’t exactly intrigued by a matchup with Tom Aspinall.
Tuivasa sits at the number three spot on the official UFC heavyweight rankings and he’s closer than ever to receiving a title shot. Aspinall is quickly rising up the ranks as well, holding the number six spot. Aspinall recently called for Tuivasa to be his next dance partner inside the Octagon.

Tai Tuivasa Dismisses Tom Aspinall’s Challenge
Appearing on FOX Sports Australia’s Main Event, Tai Tuivasa responded to Tom Aspinall’s challenge and didn’t sound too enthusiastic about a potential bout.
“Tom’s a good fighter. I suppose he just wants to cuddle me, whatever else he wants to do. But if it was my choice I’d definitely love to go Stipe, you know what I mean? I think he’s on his way out, as in he’s been around for a long time.
“It’s one thing I love about fighting is I love to challenge myself, especially against the guys that I’ve watched growing up. Stipe, he’s in front of me, I think it makes sense. But if not Stipe, then we’ll go in front of him again. So, we want to go forward not backward. We’ll go from there.”
Tuivasa is fresh off a knockout victory over Derrick Lewis. The finish extended Tuivasa’s winning streak to five. Aspinall was last seen in action back in March. He submitted Alexander Volkov, extending his winning streak to eight.
