Stipe Miocic To Daniel Cormier: ‘He’s An ‘Idiot’

Reigning 265-pound champion, Daniel Cormier is currently slated to rematch with Stipe Miocic, at UFC 241 in August.

Miocic had lobbied for this fight just as soon as he suffered a knockout loss at UFC 226 last July. Before this set back the most decorated UFC Heavyweight champion of all time, defended the title a record three times. At every step, Miocic felt he deserves an immediate rematch however UFC opted to set their sights on Cormier vs. Brock Lesnar. Now that Lesnar has been off the title fight conversation UFC finally granted Miocic a rematch.

Last week Cormier called Stipe Miocic ‘Entitled’ now Miocic spits the wrath at ‘DC’ by calling him an ‘idiot’ and a hungry woman who can’t make her mind on Airel Helwani’s MMA show. (h/t MMAFighting)

“I have no idea what he was talking about ‘we had a company conversation,’ I had no idea about the Brock thing until literally right before I walked out for the fight so he’s an idiot. One minute he says I’m deserving and ‘If I don’t fight Brock, he’ll get the fight,’ and then he’s like ‘No, you gotta work your way up like everyone else. He’s like a woman when they want to go out to eat dinner but they have no idea what they want to go eat but they say they want to go eat somewhere but they change their mind. It’s just never-ending.”

Since Cormier’s initial plan was to retire by March of this year however circumstances changed, as after Miocic fight ‘DC’ wants to settle the business with Jon Jones. When asked if this is a last outing of Cormier, Miocic responds by stating I am going to retire him.

“That’s fine with me. I’m going to be [the guy that retires him].”

Daniel Cormier said on many occasions that he doesn’t want to fight Miocic again since he has nothing left to prove. Cormier seems less than enthusiastic about this fight. Could that yield different results than the first outing?

Early predictions? Who’s going to win?
