Stipe Miocic, a heavyweight GOAT, will take on perpetually-underrated light heavyweight king Daniel Cormier on July 6 as the culminating bout of International Fight Week at UFC 226.

“It’s just too much. It’s exhausting for me,” Miocic said in a recent interview with Jagroop Shinbt of the BBC. “ I don’t need to go out of my way. I have other things to worry about, like training, or work, the wife, or fixing the house up. I’ve got other things to worry about other than hurting someone’s feelings.”

Yet UFC heavyweight champion and firefighter spoke about how he’s not bothered with the amount of hype that surrounds him. He is known for his explosive and heavy-hitting style inside the octagon and plans on to ‘beat up’ ‘DC’ at UFC 226 and send the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) trained back to the light heavyweight division.

“I’m going to go out there and do my job. DC’s an amazing fighter, but unfortunately you’re going to see him get beat up,” Miocic said.

Miocic withstood Francis Ngannou’s power and put the big man on the canvas, where he pounded him, mercilessly, for the better part of their five-round UFC 220 main event.

Meanwhile, Daniel Cormier a former Olympic wrestler also defeated Volkan Oezdemir via TKO stoppage in the second round in the co-main event of UFC 220.

UFC 226 event is set to take place on July 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
