Every footage of Nick Diaz is a highlight, for completelty different reasons than this highlight from Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez at UFC 166.
It was a bloody mess that resulted in a flurry of strikes thrown by each combatant. Judging by the FightMetric stats, Gilbert Melendez was far more accurate than Diego Sanchez in every round — he was even 100% successful in his takedowns. Now was Melendez vs. Sanchez the greatest fight in UFC history? No, that’s just silly. It was an extraordinary fight, but not the greatest. However, UFC has a habit of telling us that [insert thing] is the best [insert thing] in UFC history after every event — those guys permanently speak in hyperbole format.
