It turned out Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan would meet one more time before their fight.
The pair are set to clash in a highly-anticipated bantamweight title unification clash in the co-main event of UFC 273 tomorrow night.
Tensions remain high between the two bitter rivals as they couldn’t face each other off without the presence of Dana White’s arm separating them at the weigh-ins.
Although they just need to wait one more night to finally get their hands on each other, they did end up meeting one more time following the weigh-ins.
Aljamain Sterling Posts Run-In With Petr Yan Backstage
Following the weigh-ins, Sterling posted a video of him and his team having a run-in with Yan and his team backstage.
Sterling, along with teammate Merab Dvalishvili, could be seen exchanging insults with Yan for the duration of the encounter.
“Hey, tomorrow. My friend, tomorrow,” Sterling was heard shouting.
You can watch it below:
Sterling will look to continue his recent unbeaten run. The current champion has won his last six fights, including the disqualification victory against Yan.
Yan, meanwhile, will look to regain his bantamweight crown by unifying the title and putting an end to his rivalry with Sterling.
“No Mercy” defeated Cory Sandhagen late last year to win the interim bantamweight title while Sterling was recovering from surgery.
