Star Wars Creator’s daughter, Amanda Lucas to return to MMA this Saturday

George Lucas is a movie making monster. There are not too many other people on this earth who can claim to have an imagination massive enough to create movies as epic as those in the Star Wars series. George Lucas is a heavy hitter in the world of movie land. Now his daughter, Amanda Lucas is bringing the force to MMA this weekend as she makes her fighting return on Saturday at Freestyle Fighting Championships 46 in Oklahoma.

Lucas has a record of 1-1, with her last fight in the cage netting her a unanimous decision win back in Novemeber of 2009. Spoken like a true padawan in training to become a Jedi Master, Lucas told MMAFighting.com she took some off to get married and get better:

“Although I didn’t fight in 2010 I was actively training, competing in grappling tournaments and earning my purple belt in Brazillian jiu-jitsu,” Lucas tells MMAFighting.com. “The main reasons I didn’t fight was first, I got married and I assured everyone that I wouldn’t walk down the aisle looking like a battered woman. Second, I wanted to focus on getting technically better in all areas of MMA.”

In her quest to ‘get technically better’ Lucas has earned a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu and has spent most of 2010 training with Gilbert Melendez’ Skrap Pack, Fairtex San Francisco and even spent some time in the 209 with Caesar Gracie. That’s sort of like the MMA version of training with guys like Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi for the last year and a half. Although, she won’t be weilding any lightsabers, I’m definitely crossing my fingers that she comes out to fight dressed like Ahsoka Tano. [source]
