Gina Carano used to be the face of woman’s MMA. It’s a bummer that she’s not eying a return to MMA anytime soon, despite insisting that she hasn’t shut that door for good. It’s a metaphorical door, like the one in the back of the armoire that leads to Narnia. Since it’s not real, when she talks about it, those words get lost in the packaging of cheap Turkish delights and Aslan’s sugary breath. That doesn’t mean you should go hug the first lion you see. It’s a friggin’ lion, and you’ll probably be eaten. Behind that same metaphorical door is Cyborg Santos, who holds the only win over Gina in her entire professional career. We really miss Gina competing in Strikeforce, especially now that there is so much buzz around Women’s MMA, but we’re also really excited to see her in the next Fast & The Furious movie. Not sure what’s more exciting; waiting for that to hit theaters or watching her talking about it on ABC while wearing shiny pants and high heels. Thanks to ZombieProphet for the rip.
